The tradition of the Estonian Song Festival was born in 1869. It can be seen in the context of the emergence of Estonian national consciousness. The Estonian Song Contest is currently held every five years in Tallinn. More than 33,000 singers performed for almost 153,000 listeners at the 2014 Song Festival.
The joint choir consists of 22,000 singers. The side of the image shows three child singers in the middle, surrounded by notes on musical lines, reflected on the walls of the Laululava stage in Tallinn and intertwined with a traditional scarf with a pattern.
