The Tartu Peace Treaty (Estonian: Tartu rahu) was a peace treaty signed between Estonia and the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic on February 2, 1920, ending the Estonian War of Independence.
Under the terms of the treaty, "Russia unreservedly recognizes" the independence of the Republic of Estonia de jure and renounces in perpetuity all its rights to the territory of Estonia.
