World War II Collectible Banknote - 50 drachma banknote of 1932 - Interwar period

EUR 24,50

Original Greek 50 Drachma banknote from 1932.

Although it was called interwar periods, these did not cease in Europe as Greece and Turkey were involved in a conflict between the years 1919-1922.
This noteworthy curiosity has its origin in this conflict. The Greek state was unable to obtain resources either by taxes or loans and invented a system... "the dichotomization of the Drachma", by which all banknotes were literally cut in half. One half to be used as current currency and the other half was retained in exchange for a loan at 6.5% for 20 years.
